Larry Landry is the Co-founder, Secretary and Treasurer of Arizona Parklands Foundation (1985–1990), and was a consultant to 7 different Alaska Habitat Recovery Plans affected by the Exxon-Valdez oil spill. He is the author of articles on quality planning and need for open space and conservation issues and is the author of two books City Council Members: Issues in Policy Effectiveness and Strategic Planning for Arizona Communities. In addition to representing Tribal Communities for sixteen years, Larry was a faculty member at the ASU Graduate School of Public Affairs, as well as Phoenix College. He is also a national public speaker on public policy, change and advocacy.
He received his B.A. in Government, from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana and his M.S. in Urban Affairs, from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He also received the National Training and Development Service Managing Change Award.
Larry has been President and CEO of Landry, Creedon & Associates, Inc., a Phoenix-headquartered consulting firm, and has worked for the Office of the Governor, State of Arizona in the Office of Economic Planning & Development as an Administrative Assistant and an Executive Assistant. Additionly he worked as an Executive Assistant and Management Assistant to the Phoenix City Council. He also worked with the Milwaukee and South Bend Chambers of Commerce.
Larry is a current member and Past-Chair of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Board of Directors. He is also a current member and Past-Chair or the Arizona Tourism and Sports Authority Board of Directors. He is also a member of Arizona Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Arizona's Campaign Cabinet and the Valle del Sol's Campaign Cabinet. Larry is also President of the Landry Foundation.
He has also served on a number of other boards including: the Governor's Commission on Economic Development; the Arizona State University Engineering School Dean's Advisory Council; Chair and Member, Phoenix Aviation Advisory Board; Co-Founder, Treasurer and Member, Children's Action Alliance Board of Directors; President, Phoenix City Club; Phoenix Suns Foundation, Board of Directors; and President, Arizona Biltmore Estates Villages Association (ABEVA).
Larry was also formerly a coach of youth soccer, softball and basketball.
